In September the same year, he started his teaching career at Chemu Secondary School, where he taught great young boys like Samuel Tawiah Fianko - Ofori who was a very clever student, later becoming Rev. Samuel Fianko- Ofori. Mr. Nortey continued with the teaching profession for some time. After ten years of teaching he was later attached to Accounting Associates; a practice firm to acquire some experience. He later proceeded to Central University to study Accounting.
